The Garden of France. The Cradle of the French. Loire Valley has many names, due to its abundance of vineyards, orchards, and vegetable fields and is said to be the hub of cultural development for France. It is four wine regions rolled into one. The most famous varieties and the most famous showcasing of these grapes found are Muscadet, Sauvignon Blanc from Sancerre, Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Franc. We will taste through the diversity of styles and see all that the Loire Valley has to offer.

While the majority of Italy’s DOCG wine regions are not located in Southern Italy, there are still plenty of great wines produced. The fuller whites and reds are found in the south. Grapes like Aglianico, Nero d’Avola, Negroamaro, Nerello Mascalese and Primitivo (said to be genetically linked to Zinfandel) and the white wines made from Greco, Fiano, Vermentino and Trebbiano. Taste these full, rich and approachable wines from the tip and heel of the boot.
